Cou and Drew as a couple
Vancouver Island, British Columbia - March 2009
We're a couple in our twenties from Ontario, Canada. Andrew grew up in a small town in Northern Ontario while Courtney grew up in Canada's largest city, Toronto. We met at University and started dating in the fall of 2005. We love each other, our families, and friends. We are outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure. We're excited to try new things and meet new people. We decided to take on this adventure about two years ago; we've been slowly planning/saving and have finalized our plans these last few months. We are so excited and hope you'll share in our journey around the world. Please send us any questions, information or comments you have.
Much love,
Courtney and Andrew

Drew
Banff, Alberta Canada - August 2011
For as long as he can remember, Drew has loved the outdoors. Whether he was drinking beer on a patio or miles removed from civilization in the wilderness of the Rockies, he was happy being outside. Couple that with a huge desire to experience new people, places and cultures and you have the workings for a pretty big trip.
Stuff Drew likes: Hockey (of course I do , I'm Canadian...and a Leafs fan!), motocross (of course I do I grew up in Red Lake, Ontario), backcountry camping, hiking and exploration, mountain biking, road biking and surfing (the ocean, the internet)
Things Drew hopes to do on the trip: Lots of good multi-day backpacking trips through the world's national parks, go on bike trips, keep a tan for a year, see a Sasquatch or Yeti (either will do), witness a national geographic-esque predatory animal chase scene live (as long as they aren't chasing me), fist-pound my chest harder than a gorilla, act as an extra in a foreign film, do a wilderness race, climb a mountain, start a game of shinny somewhere really unlikely, see lava flowing (but not swim in it), oh and sleep in on weekdays and get up early on weekends.
